During the 2014 FIFA world cup held in Brazil, I attended and photographed the Germany vs France game being screened in Bangalore (hosted by both consulates). It was a great game, albeit disappointing as I was on the French side of the aisle (Germany won). One shot I made, had the British Deputy High Comissioner Ian Felton, the German Consul General Jörn Rohde, and the French Consul General Eric Lavertu standing next to each other at the end of the game, all wearing their respective countries' football tops!
Last night was the leaving event for German Consul General Jörn Rohde (soon to be Ambassador in Sri Lanka). For his parting gift from the German consulate, he was presented a large print of my image!
Auf wiedersehen Jörn, it's been great! Good luck for the futur!
