PhotoBlog
This site also documents my return to photography, one image a day, one story at a time.
Photographer of the Year - Finalist
Last weekend I was at the Nature InFocus nature and wildlife photography festival in Bangalore. It was a great event, made even better for me as my black panther image was a finalist for Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 competition (wild-scape category). Alas, I did not win, but it was still an honour! :)
It was an awesome conference, with so many great talks and great opportunities for starting more collaborations. Thanks to everyone I met for the great time! :)
Auf Wiedersehen Jörn!
Last night was the leaving event for German Consul General Jörn Rohde (soon to be Ambassador in Sri Lanka). For his parting gift from the German consulate, he was presented a large print of my image!
In print AGAIN, which is nice! :)
They have used it before, and it is making another appearance in the current issue of Wild Planet Magazine. A nice double page spread of my temple leopard pic... I guess I should send them more material! :)
A pleasant surprise!
A (talented) photography friend, Abhiroop Ghosh Dastidar, contacted me last week via facebook sending me a link to Wild Planet Photo Magazine saying "Buddy this is yours right"? He we referring to the image of the leopard, which is indeed mine.
Pinkathon, Bengaluru
The Pinkathon is more than a Marathon. It is the seed of change. It is the beginning of a movement carried forward by a growing community of empowered women across India, who share a belief that a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with empowered women.
News - In the news!
I was interviewed earlier this week, alongside graphic novelist Simon Lamouret, and fellow photographer Magali Couffon, for the Deccan Chronicle.
