I cycle along the seafront to and from work. These Black-headed Gulls came close enough for me to take this with my 135mm F/2L lens. I like being close to wildlife, it gives me a sense of connection to the world as a whole.
Hold Fast: A small foot presses into the sofa, finding comfort and balance in an ordinary gesture. Soft grain and muted colour make it feel like a memory.
Watching Through: Hands rest against the fence as the game unfolds beyond. The photograph focuses on quiet support from the sidelines.
Afternoon Light: The dog rests by the open door, half in sunshine and half in shadow. A warm, still domestic pause.
